FAQs

FAQs

  • Times and prices vary per tattoo. You can arrange a free consultation with the artist of your choosing and they can give you a rough estimate of how long the process will take, as well as a price range. Be sure to schedule extra time for your appointment should there be design changes needed or if application takes longer than expected.

  • Tattoos are a permanent addition to your body. They will fade but they will not go away. If you wish to keep them looking their best then we do recommend that you apply sunscreen daily and get touch-ups every few years (depending on how well they age). Blackwork and black & grey tattoos tend to fade much less quickly as compared to color tattoos, which require more touch-up work.

  • Black & grey tattoos tend to have more longevity as compared to color tattoos. Depending on the color you want to use, it may fade to a color that isn't as pure as you may like, or may fade faster than the other colors in your tattoo. For instance, whites may start to become yellowish over time. That being said, if you want to incorporate color into your design, go for it! We have many exceptionally talented artists that do both black & grey and color work.

  • Always come in well rested, have a nice big breakfast and it's always a good idea to bring a sugary drink. We have the sweets dish stocked at all times, but if you have any specific tastes or dietary restrictions, bringing your own is more than welcome.

  • We don't tattoo anybody under the age of 18.

  • Our minimum charge for a tattoo is €100.

  • We recommend giving your tattoo at least 2 weeks to heal before swimming.

  • Our cancellation policy is 48 hours. anything after that is a last-minute cancellation and you will no longer be able to get your deposit back.

  • We recommend waiting at least 3 days before going back to the gym. Sweating on your fresh tattoo can increase risk of infection, as well as rubbing or stretching the scabs during exercise.

  • A consultation is not necessary, however, if we feel that it is needed to fully flesh out the idea or if it is a bigger project or cover up, we might offer a free consultation as an option for you to sit down with the artist and have a one to one chat.

  • Almost in every case, yes, however if you are taking blood thinning medication or suffer from haemophilia, it's always a good idea to ask your GP or other healthcare provider. As in these cases we advise against getting tattooed, because your blood won't clot and close the wound created during the tattooing process. If you have an active rash, sunburn or other skin condition, it is best to wait for it to heal before getting tattooed.

  • We do offer scar cover-up tattoos, However in some cases we might have you come in for a free consultation to assess the situation and see what your options are.

  • We don't tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding women due to medical reasons. If you'd like to know more, you can always contact us or pop in to our studio to discuss this with one of our staff.

  • Can I bring my children to my tattoo appointment? We understand that parenting can be challenging. Therefore, we allow you to bring your child to your consultation or have them accompanied by an adult in the reception area for brief periods, especially if your tattoo appointment is expected to be short. For longer appointments, we recommend arranging for a babysitter or a family member to care for your child during your visit. Please note that, for safety and health reasons, children are not permitted in the tattooing area of the studio. Thank you for your understanding.

  • No job is too small or too big for us. We always recommend booking a free consultation so we can see what we're working with in person and making sure you leave the studio with a tattoo you're happy with. Whether it's a touch-up, rework or cover up, we always do our best to come up with a solution best fitted for your case.
